The Artisan Dipper

The Old Way

Our Method

There are faster ways to make a candle. We do not use them.

  1. Raw golden organic beeswax in a rustic bowl beside a length of cotton wick
    Step One

    The Wax

Raw, organic beeswax from beekeepers we know — gently rendered until it gleams clear gold.

  2. Finished bundles of hand-dipped beeswax tapers laid on a wooden worktable
    Step Two

    The Wick

24-ply braided cotton with an interwoven paper core — hand-cut, weighted, and set at exact width for the taper to come.

  3. Hands dipping a pair of cotton wicks into warm golden beeswax to form tapers
    Step Three

    The Dip

Slow, even passes into the warm wax, then hung to cool. Pass after patient pass, until the taper is right. Patience over pace.

  4. Pairs of golden hand-dipped beeswax tapers hung from a wooden rod to cure
    Step Four

    The Cure

Each candle rests for several days. The wax tightens, the color deepens, the burn settles.
